C&C Anniversary Giveaway

A year ago I created this blog from scratch and today I recall everything beautiful that has happened. I never expected to host giveaways, to review items and the like. Looking back, I realize that this has been more than a hobby to me, it also needed commitment. Right now, I'm not really sure if I can update this blog that much because as I've always said, I'm really looking forward to college. I will be posting a thing or two maybe every month when the schedule permits me but I cannot guarantee anymore that I'll be hosting a giveaway every month, etc. But I promise that I will be back once I sort things out and finish Accountancy and Law. So, I guess see you in nine or ten years? Lol. Just kidding.

So, I finally came up with a set to give away!! I really looked for brand new stuff from previous and new sponsors that would complement each other and I picked these. I hope you guys like them. :)

Tech 21 Impactology Samsung Galaxy S5 Case from Digits Trading Corporation (worth Php 1,250)
Clean & Clear Fruit Essentials Facial Cleanser in Energizing Berry
Spot-Lightening Banana Soap from Mir & Ryvi
Black & White Dress
Black & White Bangles Set

I figured it'd be great if I included different kinds of clothes, beauty and tech stuff in the set. So I found these from previous sponsors. I never used any of these, though because I've always set them aside for future giveaways and I guess now's the time.

Same old procedure, but I added a few new entries! The first four steps are mandatory and the rest gain you more entries. Giveaway runs from 26th March till 26th July! Good luck, everybody!

Ye!! Energy Xtreme BPR56 Review

Happy Monday!! How are you guys doing? I've been MIA (as usual) and I think I'll be doing this a lot in college -- being MIA then just showing up whenever I get the time to do so cause I really have huge plans for the future. I hope you guys understand! I'll still be active though, but not as active as the previous months. I promise I'll be back a couple of times, though. :)

Ms. Berns of Digits Trading Corporation sent me a power bank and an S5 case the other day but I will be reviewing the former only on this post. The latter will be given away on the Anniversary Giveaway on the 26th! I'm still arranging the stuff I wanna give away and hopefully I'll come up with a plan before the week ends. This is a comeback giveaway and a small thank you gift as well to the blog's readers for being there always. Anyway, here we go!

The Ye!! Energy Xtreme. Designed for Outdoor Enthusiasts. (I think it's pronounced as yell, though.)

The Energy Xtreme BPR56 is an rugged external power bank meticulously designed for outdoor enthusiasts. Besides impact resistance, it is certified to international standard of IP65 which guarantees for effective water and dust resistance. It provides the ultimate portable mobile power solution in any extreme condition.

It comes equipped with a battery status indicator so that you will be aware of how much battery is left. Its total capacity is 5,600 mAh. The average smartphone needs around 2,000-3,000 mAh to be fully charged so this power bank is definitely a must-buy for those people who always complain on their phone's short battery life.

Built-in with LED flashlight, the Energy Xtreme is ideal for nighttime outdoor activities such as hiking, map reading, night fishing, camping, sailing and hunting etc.

All you have to do is press the button for 3-5 seconds and the flashlight goes on/off. It's great that it comes with this feature because you never know when a small flashlight will be handy.

And to live up to the expectation of being water/splash, dust and impact resistant, the sockets are protected by a silicone socket lid. This lid is indeed effective because I always have a hard time opening this part even when I have long nails. Hahaha.

Oh and did I mention you can charge two gadgets all at once? ;)

Imbedded with a durable rubber ring, it allows carabineer to be attached to your backpack or belt for instant accessibility. It can go along with you to any outdoor environment, put up with bad weather condition and stay unscathed after attaching to the outside of your backpack all day long.

The package came along with the power bank itself, a user manual and a USB cord. You might wanna bring an extra USB cord if you want to charge another gadget, though. Also, Ye!! comes with over discharging, over charging, over-current and short-circuit protection so you never have to worry about charging it overnight cause it can definitely handle it.

I say PHP 1,950 is a bit pricey but if you get all these features in one amazing power bank then it's all worth it. As I've said on another post, I'll be studying college in UST and Thomasians are known for surviving flood. Imagine being trapped inside your rooms because all other areas and roads are closed and you've got only one bar of battery left. This will definitely be a life saver during those days. The Ye!! Energy Xtreme BPR56 can be purchased at Digits Trading Corporation.

Have a great week ahead, everybody! :)

April Wishlist

My birthmonth is finally coming to a close. It signifies that a month of summer is almost over and there are only two more months for me to spare, since our classes start on July. Can you believe it? Time flies fast, indeed. Our graduation day seems like it happened yesterday. Anyway, I've been spending a lot of time on the internet lately and I've been eyeing on a couple of shoes from Take a look at 12 of my picks:

I am honestly a sucker for creepers and boots. I've been saving up for a new pair of boots but I still haven't decided yet. The two creepers above definitely caught my eye because of the color. Most of my shoes are black. Or white. Or brown. Because these three colors are my default colors since they can be paired with almost anything. I loved the aztec print on the first pair also.

Among the three default colors I usually buy, black is my favorite. It's simple yet elegant, as some would put it. The first pair has a little bit of a neon yellow to it which is definitely cute because neon colors demand attention. It's also great that the whole thing isn't neon because that would totally be unpleasant to the eye. I loved the second pair because of its masterpiece in front which is a skull with spikes. Skulls, spikes and studs seem very edgy to me and I like them a lot.

I'm also in love with these two because they give a dainty feel. I'm a bit edgy and a bit sweet at times, depending on my mood and these two are perfect pairs for when I wear pastel colors.

On the other hand, I also have a thing for anything that sparkles! These two sequined loafers are so pretty, in my opinion. The first one reminds me of a city skyline while the other reminds me of Sharpay Evans! Aren't they fabulous? I'd definitely wear these with a gold or a black top or jeans.

The first pair is one of my favorites because I also got a thing for florals. It doesn't fail to give a dainty feel also. I'd probably wear this with denim shorts. The second pair, on the other hand, caught my eye because of its intricate design. I love the wood part at the bottom of the shoe. Don't you? :)

Well if you haven't noticed, I only picked 3/12 heels for my picks today because I'm not really that much fond of wearing anything with heels. I'm 5"6' (and I don't mean to brag) and I really am not the omg-these-pumps-are-totally-to-die-for-omg kind of girl. I prefer being simple and I always think of comfort first. I wear heels during occasions but I'd go for something short and sweet and elegant. But anyway, these two really got my attention because they both look so unique and futuristic. It's like I've never seen them before. (Or maybe because I don't really see heels a lot)

And that concludes my shoe wishlist! Hope you guys stick around! The blog is almost a year old and I'm still trying to plan something. Have a great week ahead!

And we're back! I'm definitely my old self now — the one who never gets tired of blogging. It's kind of an unusual thing that I stopped for a bit but what matters most is that I'm back. Also, I decided to shift from a fashion blog to a personal blog. I rarely post outfit posts anyway and I enjoy writing about books and products and life events so I guess it's good change. Anyway, HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY! I hope you guys have fun hunting for Easter eggs!

As stated in my previous post, here's my post-birthday blog post. (Too many posts, huh?) I celebrated my sixteenth birthday last 1st April 2014. It was also my confirmation of enrollment day at the University of Santo Tomas. Does it ring a bell? A few bloggers I am a huge fan of are from UST also, like Aria Clemente and Vina Guerrero but these two are both fashion bloggers and they're both from CFAD.

Most of the bloggers in UST come from CFAD, based on my observations. I am not gonna be from CFAD. I will come from AMV. Which is why I suddenly thought of taking a break from blogging. But I love what I do. And even though my course would demand a lot of attention, I think I can squeeze some blog posts when I've time. Hopefully.

Anyway, CC/C&C/CnC (I never decided which one to use, actually.) is turning one next month! I got something for you, guys! I hope you're still there, though, even though I've shifted blog types. Hahaha. Watch out! It's something girlyyy! :)

I know I'm just reiterating the first sentence of my last blog post but, yes, I have been MIA again for quite some time. For some reasons, I've been experiencing reader's block. I am definitely into writing stuff like this for the blog but the problem is — I have absolutely nothing to write about. I have been busy lately watching movies and series, reading books, pigging out and at the same time, attempting to decrease my body weight and I never found the time to write again. It was just the other day that my fingers felt like typing something long, which is why I'm writing (kind of) to you guys today.

Well, I'm planning to do a late post on my birthday last last week and I guess that'd be my next post so I hope you watch out for it. Also, I'm thinking of turning into an all-in kind of blog because I don't think I'm confident enough to post outfit photos. I haven't decided what to do yet but I hope I decide before the blog turns one.

It's Good Friday and I don't think it'd be appropriate to post something happy right now so I guess I'll post the birthday post on Easter Sunday.

But nonetheless, I'm definitely back.

Sunday, March 30, 2014

I've been MIA this month of March (if you really haven't noticed) because I wanted to spend more time with my batch mates because we're almost gonna go our separate ways. I apologize for the short hiatus! But I'm definitely back this summer! I'm actually thinking of posting outfit posts if I have time, so that I can live up to the expectations of what a fashion blog must look like. I'm also planning to write book reviews again in the coming weeks because I've got three books to review and I'm planning to read a whole lot more this summer. Also, I'm probably gonna play volleyball a lot during the vacation cause I'll be doing nothing till July.

Anyway, before I turn my plans into successful events, I'd like to share one glorious moment to all of you — my High School Graduation day. Although I'll be sharing more of the Graduation lunch with you guys because my graduation album is 98% groupies. Hahaha.

Vikings Luxury Buffet is, in my opinion, the best luxury buffet in the Philippines. 'Nuff said. If you've been here before then you'd probably know that you can still remain full even after 12 hours.. or more! Hahaha. You can try their buffet from Monday to Sunday during lunch at 10:00am-2:30pm for Php 688 or during dinner at 5:30pm-10:00pm for Php 888. I prefer eating there during dinner because they offer more dishes during that time of day.

My favorite part is definitely the dessert bar which was the middle portion of Vikings Mega Fashion Hall. We were there at around 11:00am and we got in at around 11:30. We were starving and as expected, we got home super duper full! The staff was very hospitable and they were very hands-on despite the number of customers that they needed to attend to.

Boasting the largest buffet areas found in the Philippines, Vikings has redefined the standards of dining in class and style. Only Vikings buffet can provide you an ambiance of splendor while taking you to new world through food.

Also, I'd like to say my "till we meet you again"'s to my fellow graduates last Thursday. Thank you, Pasig City Science High School for being my second home for four years. (Though I doubt that the administration would see this.) I wouldn't be who I am today without the help of the people I've met in High School. Another chapter is about to unfold and I wish my batch mates good luck in their endeavors. To my fellow future Thomasians, good luck to us and see you guys around!

Thank you, Mama and Papa. I love you both! <3

Congratulations, Batch 2014! Kudos to us all! Happy Summer!
